Window hinges & Fittings – information

Window angle brackets are used throughout Germany. In the north and east, where windows open outwards, they are usually larger in size. In the south, the angle brackets and angles for inward-opening windows are small. Higher sashes are often fitted with a cross brace in the middle.

We can adapt to any requirement when manufacturing angle brackets and angles. The angle brackets shown on catalogue pages FW1 - FW6 are only examples of dimensions. You can change the leg length at any time and also choose widths of 18, 20, 25 and 30 mm x 2 cm thickness. The projection (centre of bracket - centre of roller) and the positioning of the tabs can also be adjusted as required. The support blocks have cone diameters of 8 mm (strips 20, 25 and 30 mm wide) and 6 mm (strips 18, 20 mm wide).

Prices are graded according to design: No. 1: Profile cut or punched No. 2: Profile cut or punched, edges bevelled No. 3: Profile as in design 2, forged through

Fittings to be installed outdoors that are to be powder-coated must always be galvanised beforehand.

Fitschen and window bands with decorative knobs: Outward-opening, rebated sashes often feature fitschen with decorative knobs.

Window fittings and window hinges with decorative heads are converted from standard commercial products. If steel fittings are to be painted at a later date, we use decorative heads made of brass, i.e. the roller and flap are galvanised, while the heads are made of brass.

In addition, Fitschen can also be manufactured according to old designs or in all dimensions, in iron or brass as desired. In historic buildings, one also finds the combination of Fitschen as a frame part and angle band as a sash part.

Cranked screw-on hinges are only available as custom-made products and are correspondingly expensive, so Fitschen hinges should be used wherever possible. If Fitschen hinges or screw-on hinges are already installed, we also offer slip-on sleeves with the desired decorative heads.
